Location
Bartlett is in southwest Tennessee‚ adjacent to Memphis and 15 miles east of the Mississippi River. It is the geographic center of Shelby County.
Beginnings
Bartlett was named for Gabriel M. Bartlett‚ a wealthy businessman and one of the largest landowners in the area during the mid-1800s. The town was incorporated in 1866.
